YES, you heard it right. Biz Stone of Twitter is coming to Kuala Lumpur on the 16 and 17 November 2009 for the Youth Engagement Summit 2009 (YES).
Some of the other speakers are Randi Zuckerberg (Mark’s sister) Director of market development at Facebook, our very own Tony Fernandes of AirAsia, Sir Bob Geldof of Live Aid fame, Amitabh Bachchan and many more.
According to the organizers site, the reason for YES is the following.
When President Barack Obama became the No.1 Citizen on the planet this year, he gave birth to a renewed sense of hope, confidence, self-worth and empowerment to many across the globe. He spoke from the heart, touching many hearts in return.
In a blink, Obama became the leader of the world, not just the US, because he had shared ideals which resonated with millions across the globe, especially the youth. His core beliefs were about dialogue, engagement and listening. Many believe he will bridge the troubled waters that have haunted our societies for decades.
YES is truly an interesting event for youth which target youth between the age of 15 to 35 year of age.
The price range is between USD 800 (RM2,774) to USD 1200 (RM4,161) and you can win a ticket by joining a survey call SEAChange which Youth Entrepreneurs Malaysia is a part of. (Read more here)
