The Challenge which was targeted at youths aged between 16-23 years of age was jointly sponsored by Taylors University College, Giordano & Open University Malaysia .The challenge which ran over 4 days, required teams of three to pit their “entrepreneurial minds” in a series of “business activities”.
At each “leg” of the challenge, teams had to complete an activity within the stipulated time. Among the activities which the teams had to complete included designing a T-shirt and proposing a marketing campaign for it and proposing a sustainable social responsibility program in an impoverished area in Sabah. Teams were made to present their ideas to a panel of judges , and the lowest scoring teams at each leg were eliminated.
The final leg which took place at the Putra World Trade Centre was planned to coincide with another major event, The GoMobile Conference 2008
A Total of 12 teams took part in this Challenge. A young team trained by Money Tree Malaysia emerged the champions edging out the other college and varsity teams. The team which emerged champions comprised Isaac Chan, 14, Rachel Tan, 17 and Cherish Lo, 19.
